As I mentioned in my post last week, we’re going to be putting some free Lent/Easter resources in your hands for your gathered service times. This will include:

• A new modern hymn for worship that you can download for free (more on that below) and use for this Easter season
• Chord charts to this song (below)
• A free teaching series called Live Fast that will include teaching notes, small group guide PDF’s, slides, series logo and bumper video and a few other things (coming out on Wednesday)

We believe in Missional Communities and the scattered reality of church (obviously!), but we also want to hold up the importance and significance of the gathered time. We don’t believe mission is sustainable without it.

We’re going to talk more about worship in next week’s big annual blog post “State of the Evangelical Union,” so I’m going to hold off with any further thoughts on worship right now. So let me get this new worship song/modern hymn into your hands called Beautiful Rescuer. It’s by David Walker, someone in the wider 3DM family and whose worship blog we’ve referenced before, and is perfect for the Easter season.
