Woman to woman

Last week I had the joy and privileged to travel with Mike to a city I had never been to.To stay with a family I had never met,to meet the team of a church that I had never attended.

I loved it.
It was a privilege and brought me real joy.

We were with them for 5 days.
A fun filled action packed, food filled, five days.We went from one meal to another meal.

I had never met the wife of the pastor of this church,I barely knew her name. But by the end of our stay,I walked away with friendship that I am sure will last.

Women are like that.

When we arrived we went out to eat and drove around their city. They lead an amazing large church with approx 15,000 attending, they want to reduce poverty and help low income families, they are passionate about mission and because we were just two women working and living and sacrificing for the same goals. We just got on.

Women are like that.

Five days in and I knew about her family, his family, their children, her passions ,her schooling and their huge adorable dog. We lived in their house with them.

Women are like that.

We laughed and ate and shopped and laughed and ate and shopped some more. We shared our lives, our testimonies, our hopes and dreams. We shared life.

Women are like that.

We went round Ikea bought a couch ,rearranged a room and moved the new couch out of the truck and into the house, all whilst our husband were at a meeting.

Women are like that.

We prayed about our children and for our husbands.

Women are like that.

This women’s testimony is her whole life.
Women are like that.
