We gathered some women.

We were led with passion and purpose

We gathered some women, Like gathering in a small volunteer army.

Each woman a different age, color, size and shape. Each one with a

different story.

Each one valuable both to us and to God. Each one had to give something

up to be there.

We gathered them in, not to lay them aside or to smile at them and simply

look at their beauty. Or to talk to them about how wonderful they were.

But to encourage and strengthen, to arm, to prepare, to train. To let

them know life is a hard, mean fight and that its better to stand together

than to be alone. To stand side by side when facing the enemy rather than

being scattered and afraid.

To talk about how not to look sideways at who is overtaking us with

talent or opportunities or beauty but to look behind to see who needs a

outstretched hand to hold.

To think about how much better it is to pass on wisdom than to store it

where it can grow moldy.

To discover how much better it is to make disciples rather than searching

for celebrities.

Like women everywhere we made friends while we watching TV clips ,

drinking wine and eating chocolate.

We learned about ourselves while we laughed and we cried.

We were led into praise and petition

We were led with passion and purpose

We wanted each women to know despite their personal history or whatever

their corporate culture might tell them. They are important and that

they, each one of them can be the difference .

They can do it. There are no limits no lines.

The difference is everything. It’s like the difference between steel and

velvet or between water and wine between heaven and hell. That difference

changes things. It changes our minds and hearts and hopes. It changes

other people’s lives forever.

So we gathered some women and we will gather them again.
