Its the new year
Its the new year its wrapped in Christmas paper, its bottled as hope
Hope for better
Hope for wiser
Hope for changes
Its flavor is mellow and warm and thankful like mulled wine on a
frosty evening
Its smell is sharp and clear with a hint of a favorite perfume
Its touch is clean and new and shiny
Its 2011
Its a place in the future, its now
But I am certain of what I cannot see
Hope filled in what I know
That faith and love, like steel, will run through the back bone of the moments and days and months of 2011 so whatever it becomes for me and my family we will stand and when all else has been done. Still stand.

Sally Breen
Sally loves people — particularly their stories of God's faithfulness. In this blog, she will take complicated theological ideas and boil them down to simple and practical truths. She'll also tell stories of the many friends she is on mission with, who are living out those principles in ministry contexts around the world.
