Over the past five years, as 3DM has been training church leaders in discipleship and mission through learning communities and coaching, marketplace leaders have also been approaching us, asking us to help them live out their faith in the workplace. Thus far we have simple been quietly providing coaching and consulting to these leaders, using our tools and principles to help them live more biblically and effectively, in both their personal and professional lives.

We’ve seen remarkable transformation and breakthrough in these leaders, so we are wanting to “go public” soon with a new initiative to bring breakthrough to even more marketplace leaders. We want to see God’s kingdom come in the marketplace just as it is in heaven!

This new initiative is designed to empower and equip Christian marketplace leaders to live an integrated life and be disciples of Jesus in the context of both their personal and professional lives, following him on mission in their everyday workplace environments and at home with their families and neighbors. It’s all part of our goal of putting discipleship and mission back into the hands of ordinary people.

For all those reasons and more, I’m very excited about this new initiative. Watch for more info about it next week, including ways you can get involved this fall.
