Due to demand…more workshops coming to you!
In December we hosted our first Workshop on Discipleship in Mission in Pawleys Island — for the first time giving an opportunity for individuals to engage with the 3DM content and experience vehicles for discipleship and mission — like Huddles and Missional Communities.
It quickly filled up, so we did another in January, then another in Denver — and since we’ve had an outpouring of requests for more. So we’re excited to announce dates for a series of workshops in spring 2012, hoping to give as many opportunities for connection as possible. I know we’ve got notoriously bad weather and all, but is there any reason why 3dm is avoiding the NorthEast?? PLEASE schedule a workshop or SOMETHING in PA, MD, NY or NJ!!!
Al, we DEFINITELY want to get up to the Northeast soon. We run workshop with host churches and regional leaders who have been through our Learning Communities. We’ve got a church in the NYC/CT area that is wanting to, but isn’t able to until 2013.
Awesome! So, when can you come to Emmaus (PA)? (or possibly even to the EC National Conference?)
FYI the Fort Wayne workshop is March 22-24 (goes through Saturday 1pm).
Sweet!
Al, You are missing out on a wonderful piece of God’s creation. I humbly recommend PI, but don’t tell too many.
No doubt. But, with quite a few with German backgrounds, we dont’ like to travel too far from our homesteads… Plus, it will help us contextualize Disciple-making in our environments. We (I) often get the feeling that God is doing awesome things — everywhere — but here…
Mike,
I am a missionary in East Asia. Other groups have offered Webinars of their trainings to not only create more capacity for others to participate, but also to allow those that are serving in other areas, whether expat or indigenous, to also participate and grow. Would you consider allowing one of your conferences to become an online webinar?
Scott
Scott, we are looking into this! Hopefully will have some options out in the not-too-distant future.
I attended a two-day event at Northern Seminary in Lombard, IL in October. Will this event be different?
Much of the content will be very similar, but there will be more times to experience Huddles, Missional Communities, far more question and answer, relational time, etc. This event will be far more textured than the day we crammed full of content in Chicago!
