Learning Communities are the primary way in which you and the community you lead can put Discipleship and Mission at the center of everything you do through the vehicles of Missional Communities and Huddles.  We will teach you everything we have learned in our 25 years of doing this. Rather than giving a random assortment of facts, inspiration or ideas that you may or may not be able to implement into your church, Learning Communities are a two year, immersive experience where twice a year, your community sends a group of people to an immersion experience. You will join a select group of churches who will be with you on this journey. The majority of your team's time will be spent with a group of 10-12 similar churches, creating a strong environment of collaboration, sharing and support. 

It is not an accident our churches have such a high success rate. At the conclusion of each immersion experience, you and your team will leave with a detailed, 6 month plan to accomplish the things you believe God has asked your community to do. Furthermore, included in the 2 year track are bi-weekly Coaching calls with experts in class that begin one month before the first immersion, as well as access to all of our Content. You will truly have everything we know at your disposal.

The trajectory of the 2 year Learning Community process is as follows:


1) Immersion 1: Building a Discipling Culture
2) Immersion 2: Multiplying Missional Leaders 
3) Immersion 3: Launching Missional Communities
4) Immersion 4: Establishing Centers of Mission

In addition to these immersion experiences, content and coaching calls, the Senior leader will also join in on an annual Senior Leader and Spouse's Retreat, located on the beach in Pawley's Island, SC. This is, perhaps, the very best thing we do.

In total, the two year track consists of:

  • 4, four day immersions that occur every 6 months. Each time your team leaves with a 6 month plan to implement in your own community, put together by your team.
  • Bi-weekly coaching calls for the team leader between immersion experiences
  • Annual Senior leader and spouse’s retreat at the beach in South Carolina
  • Access to all of our experience and resources
  • Continued access and participation once the process concludes
Cost of the 2 year Learning Community:

Your church community locks in how many of your leaders you would like to be part of your Learning Community journey. You will need a minimum of 3 and can have a maximum of 7, with your community paying $100 per month per leader. So if your church wants to bring 7 leaders they would pay $700 a month for the year. A team of 4 would be $400 a month. For medium-sized to larger churches we recommend 5-6 people on your team, and for church plants or smaller churches, we recommend 3-4. Ultimately, your team size is up to your discretion.

*Each church is responsible for their own travel, accommodation and evening meal costs (though we will have discounts worked out with local restaurants). 3DM will cover the costs of lunch, beverages, materials, etc.
