Meet 3DM’s Family on Mission - The Blaylocks
2014/03/27
Our focus this year is equipping people to live as Families on Mission. 3DM functions as a “family business,” with a spiritual family at the core (what we call oikos). Since our family has been growing lately, we wanted to take Thursdays on the blog for a few weeks to introduce our entire Family on Mission to you.
Last week we introduced Joan Gooley, otherwise known as “Mum.” This week, meet the Blaylocks!
Tom and Sandi Blaylock moved to Pawleys Island last August from Michigan, where Tom worked with church planters in the Missionary Church and Sandi was in sales. Together they manage our Connections Department. Here’s a bit more information about them:
Sandi Blaylock:
- Job at 3DM: Director of Connections
- Where born/raised: Just outside of Detroit, MI
- Favorite things: Predictable romance movies, eating out, laughing with friends, vanilla lattes, going on walks with my husband
- Interesting fact about you: I met my husband when I was 12 years old and dated him through high school and college.
- How Kim Rhodes describes Sandi:
Tom Blaylock:
- Job at 3DM: Director of Connections
- Where born/raised: Just outside of Detroit, MI
- Favorite things: Watching our kids compete in sports, really good movies (“O, Brother, Where Art Thou”), walking with Sandi after dinner, hunting and fishing, the Detroit Tigers and the Michigan Wolverines.
- Interesting fact about you: I spent a semester in London as an exchange student while in college. It was there that God renewed his calling upon my life to serve him with no strings attached
- How Matt Tebbe describes Tom: Kind and responsible
